As owner and operator of Village
Inn and Bakers Square restaurants,
VICORP Restaurants, Inc. of Denver, Colorado is in the business
of satisfying guests’ hunger for life’s simple pleasures.
Since
1958 when the first Village Inn Pancake House opened, families have
known they can expect their favorite home-style meals from extra-friendly
servers in a sparkling clean and comfortable setting.
Today corporate and franchise Village Inn locations
total over 250 and are concentrated in the Rocky Mountain region,
the Midwest, Arizona, Florida and Texas. Village Inn’s heritage
of hearty, wholesome breakfasts, made with the best ingredients
and served with our famous buttermilk pancakes, carries over to
a full menu of lunch and dinner offerings, as well.
In the early 80s Village Inn Pancake House became
publicly owned and changed its name to VICORP Restaurants, Inc.
When VICORP acquired a restaurant company and its bakeries, a
new legacy was born – Bakers Square and award-winning pie. Bakers
Square serves The Best Pie in America® – pies that were
awarded top honors at the National Pie Championships over the
last several years.
With 146 locations in California and the
Upper Midwest, Bakers Square is the destination for guests who wish
to enjoy everyday occasions, creative and unique fare such as focaccia
sandwiches and stir-fry pitas or a slice of blue-ribbon pie.
VICOM, our pie production
facilities, bakes nearly 12 million pies a year for Village Inn,
Bakers Square and J. Horner’s, a frozen pie line for outside
sales.
Now in our fifth decade of success and once again
a privately held company, VICORP Restaurants, Inc. has a stable
foundation for future expansion. We are growing in new and existing
markets and we expect many more guests and their families to frequent
our restaurants.
In an industry where concepts quickly come and go,
